The glass has a satin or semi-matte finish rather than a high gloss. Pieces are not typically marked with a manufacturer's name.

Later reproductions exist and can be distinguished by less defined mold detail, brighter or more uniform coloring, and a glossier surface finish. The weight and thickness of genuine pieces also differs from later copies.
