William Ivey (American, 1919-1992)

Untitled, ca. 1925. Oil on canvas, initialed lower right, signed and dated on verso, 25" x 30-1/2", not framed. William Ivey was widely recognized as the dean of Northwest painters. He was a fourth-generation Seattleite who devoted his career to painting in the Abstract Expressionist style.
