      Description

      Georgia stoneware churn, everted rim, two strap handles, glossy alkaline glaze, one handle with incised "BB", the other with impressed "4" (Benjamin Becham, 1837-circa 1915, Crawford County), 15-1/2 in. Surface with large clay bubbles under glaze probably as fired, normal surface abrasions and scratches, otherwise good condition.
