Description

RARE DUFFNER & KIMBERLY LOUIS XV LAMP. This outstanding and rare table lamp is done in the Louis XV pattern with exceptional colors including reds, greens, pinks, ambers, yellows, purples and more. The unusual design features four panels centered with a Fleur-de-Lis surrounded by intricate leaded pattern. Each Fleur-de-Lis panel is separated by a concave, intricately leaded panel. The shade is finished with a matching skirt with uneven border. The shade rests atop its original cast bronze Louis XV base. The base, with gold patina has four-socket cluster and is topped with original, ornate cast bronze cap. Base is signed on the riser "Duffner & Kimberly Company New York". Illustration of original catalog page for this lamp is shown in the book Great Art Glass Lamps: Tiffany, Duffner & Kimberly, Pairpoint, and Handel by Martin M. May on page 68. SIZE: Shade is 19" dia. Overall height is 22-3/4" t. CONDITION: Shade has very few, if any tight hairlines. The base has two replaced sockets and has been rewired, otherwise very good to excellent. 5-71433 (15,000-20,000)
