A DAMASCUS UNDERGLAZE-PAINTED POTTERY TILE SYRIA, LATE 16TH CENTURY of square form, decorated underglaze in turquoise, cobalt-blue, green and manganese with black outline on a white ground with a tulip head, pomegranates and polylobed cartouche containing interlacing split palmettes, all on a ground of floral interlace 26.7 x 26.7 cm.
