      TIGER MAPLE AND CHERRY SIDE CHAIR, New York, c. 1760. Shaped crest rail above a pierced vasiform splat and raking stiles, baluster-turned frontal legs tapering into pad feet on platforms, joined by three bulbous turned stretchers, later rush seat. Ht. 37 1/2, seat ht. 17 1/2 in.
