A continental etched morionprobably Italian, early 17th century
One-piece skull with high, roped comb and etched overall in the Pisan manner with panels of busts, panoplies, florals, etc. framed by plain bands. Lower rim with fourteen brass-headed lining rivets. Brim with upturned ends, roped and guttered rim and etched with leafage.
