Stoneware chicken waterer, pocket at base, incised "2", dark brown alkaline glaze, maker unknown, probably Southern, late 19th/early 20th century, 15-1/2 in. including wire bail. Chips to pocket, scattered abrasions and normal wear, wire bail possibly replaced. Found in house sale in Smyrna, Georgia.
