      AN AFRICAN CHIWARA VERTICAL MASK/HEAD-DRESS. The hand carved wooden head piece representing a male antelope having cowry shells and leather wrapped horn tips. Height 28 3/4 in. raised on hardwood plinth. Provenance: Purchased in 1984 at a gallery near Carmel, California for about $400.
