MEIJI PERIOD JAPANESE IVORY CARVED FIGURE, depicting woman vendor hawking her wares of fruit with large basket suspended from her shoulder, smaller basket on her arm, standing on tree stumps on attached plinth. Height 9 1/4 in., signed within a red rectangle underfoot together with incised flower stalk.
