Configuration (sugata): very shallow curvature with beveled shallow peak back (iorimune), medium point (chukissaki); length (nagasa): 40.6 cm.
Forging pattern (jihada): wood grain (itame).
Tang (nakago): beveled and tapering with square end (ubu), with shallow file marks (yasurime) with dark-brown patina; holes (mekugiana): four; signature(mei): illegible.
