A KANBUN SHINTO KATANA (JAPANESE SAMURAI SWORD) Unsigned, Edo Period (late 1600's). "Nagasa" (blade length), 25.25". "Sugata" (configuration): "Shinogi-zukuri, iori-mune, torii-zori". The blade attributed to the Tsuta School of Osake, the Sukehiro line (1650-1700). Matched mounts, the "fuchi-kashira are Higo work of gold overlay, dragon motif; the "menuki" (hilt ornaments)...
