Description

MECHANICAL FLOWER. A finger ring borrowed from a spectator vanishes mysteriously and then reappears within the slowly opening petals of the flower. Undecorated mechanical apparatus which bears striking similarities to "The Fabulous Rose Bush," a legendary automaton invented by Robert- Houdin. 11 1/2 inches long (29 cm). France, circa 1850.
