      DECORATED BLANKET CHEST. Probably northern Indiana or southwestern Michigan, mid-late 19th century, pine. Turned feet, dovetailed case and interior till with lid. Original dark red paint with stenciled gold and silver starflowers, basket of melons and "JS". Minor edge damage. 25 1/2"h. 43 1/2"w. 19 1/2"d. Found in Illinois....
