Middletown, Connecticut, circa 1797-1802; Castleton, Maine, circa 1802-1831. Maker's mark stamped inside bottom. Unlike all similar examples marked by makers in New England, New York and Pennsylvania, in that the underside of its base is not recessed. Height 4 ⅜ inches, diameter 3 ¾ inches....
