A rare American infantry officers shoulder belt platecirca 1792-96
The oval plate of silvered copper, probably of English origin, molded with a Federal eagle below clouds and 15 stars with U.S.A below. Lead-filled reverse with copper hook and two studs.
Condition: Fine, showing dark, unpolished patina.
