A rare 1st Model Burnside breechloading percussion carbinecirca 1857-58
Serial no. 64, .54 caliber. 22 inch barrel with adjustable rear sight. Barrel, action and breechblock all serial numbered. Top of action marked Burnside's/Patent/March 25th/1856/64. Sling bar and ring. Varnished walnut buttstock with no visible cartouche.
