A large Highland dirkprobably early 19th century
Broad 14 1/2 inch single edged blade with 7 inch false edge and fuller below the spine, possibly a cut-down sword blade. Ebonized wooden grip simply carved with interlace and fitted with simple brass bolster and flat pommel with large knopf finial.
