AFTER TSUKIOKA YOSHITOSHI (JAPANESE, 1839-1892) painting on four-panel paper wall screen, 'Fujiwara Yasumasa plays the flute by moonlight, 35.5 x 53.5 inches. The work illustrates an episode made famous in a kabuki play where Kidomaru, attempting to rob his brother of his robes, is entranced by Yasumasa's flute playing.
