      COMMODE,Louis XV, Paris circa 1740/50. Purpleheart veneer, finely inlaid with diamond pattern. Slightly bombé front with 2 drawers, the top drawer divided into 2. Exceptionally richly gilt bronze mounts, frieze and sabots, some replaced. Shaped "Griotte Rouge" top. Restorations. 129x62x83 cm.
