Description

GOLD MOSAIC MEDALLION PENDANT, ca. 1870. Yellow gold. Attractive, lozenge-shaped pendant, on the top: a fine polychrome, partially iridescent micro-mosaic representing a butterfly on a white background with blue edge. The frame richly adorned with appliqued ring motifs and knurled gold wire. Matching eyelet connected by fine volute motifs.
